SF police search for missing 'at-risk' elderly man

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s help in searching for an "at-risk" elderly man.Minh Hy Thai, 79, was last seen on the 500 block of Parnassus Avenue at 11 a.m. on Nov. 20, SFPD said. The location is on the University of California, San Francisco Parnassus campus. He is known to visit the Chinatown neighborhood, police said.Thai is described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall and 150 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a red baseball cap with a dragon design. He was using a crutch with his right arm. (KRON) -- A woman was arrested for assault and possession of a firearm last week following a disagreement with a female friend, the Vallejo Police Department said Wednesday. The incident occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 14 when a woman flagged officers down near Alabama and Sacramento Street.The woman, police said, told officers her female friend attacked her following a disagreement. The victim also told police her friend had a firearm and was currently following her in a red Honda Civic. (KRON) -- A 16-year-old suspect was arrested after allegedly stabbing his 16-year-old friend during an argument Tuesday afternoon, according to Santa Rosa Police Department.Santa Rosa police officers responded to reports of a stabbing near West Ninth Street and Warren Lane around 12:25 p.m. Officers found the victim, a 16-year-old boy, with one non-life-threatening stab wound.Police arrested the suspect, also a 16-year-old boy, and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.Officers said the two were friends when they got into a heated argument at the suspect's house. The suspect chased the victim out of the house. When the suspect caught up to the victim, the suspect stabbed the victim in the back with a four-inch folding knife.The victim was transported to the hospital. A U.S. Park Police officer and another person were wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Northwest, D.C., authorities said.It happened in the area of 12th Street and M Street NW at around 2:30 p.m., according to D.C.
